FIELD: manual embroidery device for making of relief patterns by means of threads on fabric, in particular, for manufacture of Hobelin or tapestry.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has mechanism arranged in hollow handle and adapted for automatic fixation of height of pattern profile. Handle is made in the form of rectangle with narrowed end side. Said mechanism has slide arranged in head. Pipe is immovably fixed in slide. Slide and head are spring-loaded by means of single spring for movement in vertical plane one relative to another and for joint movement along axial line of handle under the action of force applied to rods, and for automatic fixation of pipe in predetermined position relative to handle after removal of force applied to rods.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and convenient use of apparatus.
