FIELD: pipeline engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method includes applying heat insulation material between the pipe wall and inner shell. The inner shell projects out of the pipe ends at a distance sufficient for sealed joint of the inner shells. The inner shells are then abutted and secured, i.e. by welding. To provide rigidity of the structure the space between the pipe faces is filled with a non-plastic material. The sleeve is mounted outside on the site of the pipe joint with the further uniform overlapping of the pipe ends. The ends of the sleeve are welded to the pipes.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and prolonged service life.
