FIELD: radio engineering; radar systems using digital signal processing.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method relies on division of signal being converted among different channels, its processing and multiplication within these channels by reference signals of equal amplitude with relatively shifted phases, and generation of U1, U2, and U3 signals in the process which are filtered off in respective channel and converted into digital form thereby producing image from U1d, U2d, and U3d signals, and generation of signal Ud = U(t)cos[(t)] with amplitude U(t) and phase (t) being found for this signal from amplitude and phase of U1, U2, and U3 signals as components of three-phase system; periodically mentioned U1d, U2d, and U3d signals are obtained by above-mentioned way using reference signal instead of signal being converted; then U1d, U2d, and U3d signals are added and sum obtained is compared with check sum; decision on whether errors may be admitted and conversion process should be restarted or terminated is taken in compliance with results obtained.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of analog-to-digital signal conversion.
