FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes melting and mixing of rectifying metal and halide of alkaline metal in a reaction vessel provided with gas atmosphere, introducing alkaline metal for deoxidizing the rectifying metal, cooling and solidifying the melt, grinding the removed fusion cake, washing the powder, and introducing an alloying component. Deoxidizing is carried out within the temperature range 550-900°C. The alloying component is introduced in the gas atmosphere of the reaction vessel.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of powder metal.
