FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: powder consists of globular agglomerates, described by index D50, specified by ASTM B 822 with application of instrument MasterSizer, which is 10-80 mcm, preferentially 20-40 mcm, and flows free through hole of funnel by Hall of diametre 2/10 inches, preferentially 1/10 inches. Globular agglomerates allows bimodal distribution of pores by sizes, herewith smaller maximum distribution of pores by sizes corresponds primary structure, and major maximum distribution of pores by sizes corresponds secondary structure. For receiving of valve metal powder initial product of required morphology is transformed into oxide of valve metal, its structure is stabilised by means of heat processing and stabilised oxide is reduced with keeping of morphology. In case of tantalum oxide stabilisation is implemented at temperature 1000-1800°C, preferentially, 1500-1800°C, particularly, 1600-1750°C, and in case of niobium oxide - at temperature 1000-1600°C, preferentially, 1350-1550°C, particularly, 1400-1500°C.
EFFECT: invention provides regulation of required properties of powder during direct transformation of initial product into oxide.
