FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: typewriter 1 has first plate cylinder 12 and second plate cylinder 22, each equipped with individually regulated drives. First plate cylinder 12 is kinematically connected with at least one first reciprocating rubbing or spreading roll 42, and second plate cylinder 22 is kinematically connected with at least one second reciprocating rubbing or spreading roll 52. For reducing vibration of typewriter, side position of first rubbing or spreading roll 42 relative to second rubbing or spreading roll 52 is determined and first plate cylinder 12 is turned with respect to second plate cylinder 22 so as to change side position of first rubbing or spreading roll 42 relative to second rubbing or spreading roll 52.Phase shift of spreading rolls is regulated to optimal value providing elimination or reducing of vibration caused by operation of typewriter.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in eliminating or reducing vibration of typewriter and reduced cost of method.
