FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of structural high-strength steel designated for making welded constructions. Proposed steel comprises components taken in the following ratio, wt.-%: carbon, 0.15-0.21; manganese, 0.45-0.70; silicon, 0.17-0.35; boron, 0.0010-0.0050; nickel, 1.20-1.50; chrome, 0.01-0.20; niobium, 0.01-0.02; vanadium, 0.03-0.08; aluminium, 0.02-0.06; titanium, 0.01-0.04; nitrogen, 0.005-0.015; calcium, 0.001-0.010; sulfur, 0.005-0.02-; iron, the balance, in accomplishing of the following ratios: Ti/48 + Al/27 - N14 ≥ 0.6 x 10-3 and Mn + 2 x Cr ≥ 0.7. Invention provides enhancing hardenability indices and providing the complete penetration hardenability of thermally improved sheets of thickness below 50 mm and bar rolled products of diameter below 65 mm.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of steel.
