FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of steel with enhanced hardenability designated for making complex-profiling articles by method of cold die forging stamping. The claimed steel comprises components taken in the following ratio, wt.-%: carbon, 0.28-0.35; manganese, 0.90-1.40; silicon, 0.01-0.17; sulfur, 0.005-0.020; chrome, 0.01-0.25; vanadium, 0.01-0.07; nickel, 0.01-0.20; niobium, 0.005-0.02; titanium, 0.01-0.04; boron, 0.0005-0.0050; aluminium, 0.02-0.06; nitrogen, 0.005-0.015; iron and inevitable impurities, the balance, in accomplishment the following ratios: N/(10 x Ti + Al) ≤ 0.39, and Ti x B/N ≥ 0.0040. Invention provides enhancing steel hardenability indices that provides guaranteed level of consumers' properties of bar rolled products with diameter below 35 mm.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of steel.
