FIELD: bridge building.
SUBSTANCE: method involves assembling new through metal span structures; disassembling old span structures and installing new span structures instead of old ones with the use of temporary piers built in old span structure support unit locations, girder lifting means and floating supports. In the case of reconstruction of multiple-span double-track bridge with spans of 100 m and more new span structures are assembled from bridge sides under each track in turns without interruption in traffic along corresponding track of existent bridge in intertrack space thereof. Disassembling of old span structures under each track is carried out during interruption in traffic along this track by lifting old span structure with the use of jacks, installing thereof on safety cells and placing old span structure on roll bearing means. Then old span structure is removed by rolling thereof along knurling tracks installed on adjacent piers. Old span structures are disassembled by moving floating support under span structure, bearing old span structure on floating support and rolling old span structure in longitudinal direction to place of removed span structure location.
EFFECT: increased economy, reduced labor inputs and time of bridge reconstruction due to arranging sites for new span structure building in vicinity to bridge and due to using efficient technique for old span structures disassembling and new span structures assembling.
