FIELD: rocketry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed expandable nozzle of liquid-propellant rocket engine has stationary bell mouth with liquid cooling jacket, expandable nozzle head section connecting bell mouth and nozzle, expanding mechanism, centering and sealing members. Connecting section is directly mounted on outer wall of cooling jacket of stationary bell mouth. Expanding mechanism, centering and sealing members are installed on connecting section within the limits of stationary bell mouth outlines and are protected from heating be wall of cooling jacket.

EFFECT: provision of reliable operation of sealing between fixed part of nozzle and expandable nozzle head and expanding mechanism at small weight of construction.
