FIELD: radio engineering, in particular, radio navigation with the use of signals of navigational satellite systems GPS and GLONASS.
SUBSTANCE: the method for suppression of multipath effect in receivers of satellite navigation consists in the fact that navigational satellite search operations are performed by the carrier frequency and code delay, tracking of the found signals by the tracking circuits by the carrier frequency and delay, measurement of the radio-navigational parameters, as well as of the amplitude of the received signal, bit synchronization and discrimination of the service information transmitted by the satellite, additionally performed in succession are operations of amplitude smoothing, range smoothing, formation of amplitude variations, formation of range variations, formation of covariance as the product of amplitude and range variations, primary smoothing of covariance, detection of the fact of action of multipath propagation (comparison with the threshold), taking a decision (on excess of the threshold), secondary smoothing of covariance, calculation of the range error estimation by division of the mentioned covariance by the current value of amplitude variation and introduction of corrections to the code and phase ranges, calculation of the difference of the phases of the direct and return signals, calculation of the estimation of the error of the current phase caused by the multipath effect and introduction of corrections to the measurements of the current phase.
EFFECT: suppressed errors of multipath effect in the receivers of satellite navigation simultaneously receiving and parallel processing the signals of satellite navigational systems GPS and GLONASS.
