FIELD: broadband radio communication, telecommunication, and radar systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed dual-frequency power adder has sections of equal-length (L) parallel coaxial lines, first and second inputs, useful and ballast loads. Annular gap is made in center of line section braids, its width being equal to outer radius of braid (half of its outer diameter D); distance between line section conductors equals 2D; adjacent internal ends of braids in both sections in vicinity of gaps as well as section conductor ends are directly interconnected. Distance H between line section braids and adder case is chosen to ensure that characteristic wave impedance of cylindrical conductor braids equals wave impedance of sections. As distinct from prior art of same length, proposed adder ensures extended frequency band which makes it possible to afford contact ratios of spectral bands (carrier tuning range) about 2.0 (octave) when using Russian-made standard coaxial cables.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.
