FIELD: high-frequency communications using conductors of power transmission line.
SUBSTANCE: proposed tuning unit for high-frequency wavetrap designed to transmit control-station and relay protective gear signals in power engineering has insulating case accommodating frequency tuning components and two metal leads at butt ends; these leads are made inside case in the form of long metal bars joined together through insulating spacer and carry dielectric boards which are designed to secure frequency tuning components disposed between these boards by means of current leads; outer surfaces of case are ribbed to enlarge cooling area. Such arrangement reduces temperature of frequency tuning components during operation of high-power signal transmitters, improves heat transfer between case and tuning unit, enlarges metal leads-to-potting compound linkage area.
EFFECT: enhanced mechanical strength, facilitated manufacture, reduced temperature of frequency tuning components.
