FIELD: sewing industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining two internal scales of figure; dividing figure by vertical bisecting planes, profile plane and horizontal bisecting planes; determining distance between vertical and horizontal bisecting planes as product of one of internal scales and respective coefficients of length and width of article; plotting grid on paper or fabric; determining final contour of base by introducing additional measurements; determining value of aperture of figure belt portion from formula: E=2.5(2St-Sh) where E is width of belt portion aperture of figure; St is scale of thighs; Sh is scale of height of figure belt portion.
EFFECT: provision for obtaining of article base taking into account individual features of figure.
