FIELD: manufacture of grains of different metals and alloys.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of pouring melt metal to casting vessel; imparting to melt metal rotation at normalized revolution number in order to form regular paraboloid of revolution; dividing melt metal by measured-mass drops along lateral wall of casting vessel; cooling measured-mass drops in medium of neutral gas and further cooling drops in liquid. According to invention melt metal is separated by drops along lateral wall of casting vessel along length consisting 0.1 - 0.7 of height of paraboloid. Measured-mass drops are cooled in medium of neutral gas during their motion towards inner shield surface of paraboloid arranged coaxially relative to formed paraboloid of metal. Rotation motion of melt metal is realized at revolution number 2800 - 3200 rev/min.
EFFECT: possibility for making spherical pellets of homogenous fraction size.
