FIELD: turbojet engines; speed limiting and cutoff systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to speed limiting and shutdown cutoff devices for turbojet engines and means of testing these two cutoff duties. Fuel hydraulic control unit for aircraft engine contains devices to control cutoff of flow of fuel delivered from outlet to engine injectors in case of shut down and overspeed. Logic module controls state selector position under testing conditions or under normal conditions. Said state control module can check operation of overspeed module at each starting on the ground. Design of hydraulic unit is such that operation of shutdown cutoff can be checked at each landing. Operations at overspeed testing and shutdown testing are analyzed by determining difference between control value of tolerable flow of fuel, which depends mainly on engine speed, and actual flow of fuel recorded by transmitters. So combination of design of hydromechanical fuel governor and electronic system provides automatic and complete checking of both systems for correct operation.
