SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerospace engineering. Method of stopping a liquid-propellant engine with a turbo-pump fuel feed system as part of a space propulsion system, based on successive supply of 2 commands with a predetermined time interval between them, at that, according to the first command, supply of the turbine working body of the turbo-pump unit and fuel components in the cavity of the nozzle head of the chamber is terminated and the pressure lines and cavities of the engine fuel components are communicated with the corresponding tanks of the propulsion system, and on the second command, supply of fuel components from the tanks of the propulsion unit to the pumps of the turbo-pump unit is stopped, the pressure lines and cavities of the engine fuel components are disconnected from the tanks of the propulsion unit and drainages are opened from these cavities.

EFFECT: invention provides longer service life of a liquid-propellant engine with a turbo-pump fuel feed system as part of a multiple-use space propulsion system.
