METHOD OF CHARGING BOTTLES AND VESSELS WITH LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2237833 C1

FIELD: gas charging station and multiple fuel charging complex.

SUBSTANCE: method is designed for automobile gas charging stations and multiple fuel charging complexes providing charging of bottles and vessels with liquefied petroleum gas. Liquefied petroleum gas is delivered to station by gas tank carriers and carrier tanks are connected to gas dispensing columns and to stationary reservoir of station by liquid pipeline. Then inert gas is delivered into tank of gas carrier from high-pressure source along gas line with reducing and shutoff devices, and liquefied gas is forced out of tank by inert gas dispensing columns into bottles or vessels to be charged and after emptying of tanks, reservoirs are cleaned from gas mixture consisting of vapors of liquefied and inert gases. Carrier tank, before beginning of bottle charging with liquefied gas, is connected with stationary reservoir by flexible vapor phase pipeline with shutoff member and, by opening said shutoff member, pressure in tank and stationary reservoir is equalized. Then shutoff member is closed and at beginning of process of charging the bottles with liquefied gas, vapor phase is directed from gas dispensing columns into stationary reservoir through vapor phase gas pipeline connecting columns and stationary reservoir. After emptying of carrier tank, pressure in carrier tank and in stationary reservoir is equalized by opening and subsequent closing of shutoff member on vapor phase pipeline connecting carrier tank and stationary reservoir. Then liquid and vapor phase pipelines are disconnected from emptied tank carrier and are connected to other tank filled with gas.

EFFECT: prevention of gas losses, improved economy and ecological characteristics.
