FIELD: oil pollution elimination.
SUBSTANCE: material, which can be used for collecting crude oil, lubricating oils, mazut, fuels, and hydrocarbons in order to clean water, soil, and other solid surfaces as well as for cleaning oil-polluted water streams, contains 10-50% of oil-swelling rubber containing sol fraction in amount 50-95% on the weight of polymer and 50-90% of dispersed filler. Treatment comprises binding a part of crude oil and/or petroleum product by oil-swelling rubber.
EFFECT: increased oil cleaning efficiency due to lowered flowability of non-bound portion of crude oil and/or petroleum product.
