FIELD: method for electrolytic production of oxychloride compound, in particular, production of hypochlorite from alkaline and alkaline-earth metal solutions.
SUBSTANCE: method involves providing electrolysis of chloride solutions at current density of 0.1-1.5 A/dm2. Process is carried out with the use of electrolyte, such as solution of natural bischofite having density of 1.3 g/cm3, chlorine ion content of 340.8 g/l and bromine ion content of 5-6 g/l. Method may be employed for production of oxidizers used as disinfectant solutions.
EFFECT: increased current yield of hypochlorite, increased biological activity of produced hypochlorite owing to increased concentration of chlorides in electrolyte solution.
