TENT (VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: camping outfit, particularly tents for tourists, fishermen and hunters.

SUBSTANCE: tent includes frame and web put on frame. Frame includes at least three foldable posts connected to top bearing member mounted on central hub. Posts extend from top bearing member in fan-like manner. Each post includes at least two separate parts connected one after another by hinge connection. Free ends of upper post parts are hinged to top bearing member. Tent also has frame expanding mechanism including spacing thrusts. Number of thrusts is equal to that of posts. Thrusts are pivotally connected by one ends with upper post parts and by another ends to bearing member installed on rod. Rod may be arranged in central hub during frame expansion and fixed in the hub by securing means. When frame posts are folded in non-operative position rod may pass out of central hub. Expanding mechanism also has control thrust connected to rod and passed over support member arranged in central hub. Tent porch is formed by tent web part, by two beams pivotally connected to corresponding tent section posts and by support member arranged between beams for tent web tightening in tent porch area. Tent porch is located at tent access opening. Tent may include several sections connected one to another.

EFFECT: increased tent structure stability.
