FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an isolation tent for use in providing isolation. An isolation device for isolating a patient is proposed, where this device is adapted to be placed on a supporting surface and includes an isolation tent with a frame and an awning including: a) a roof element; b) at least one wall passing between the supporting surface and this roof element, when used, thereby at least partially forming an internal volume practically isolated from the environment; c) a set of awning connectors connected to the awning, wherein this set of awning connectors is adapted to engage with the frame: and d) an electrical component electrically connected to at least one of the set of awning connectors to ensure the transmission of electrical signals to or from the electrical component via the awning connector. An isolation device for isolating a patient is also proposed, where this device is adapted to be placed on a supporting surface and includes a frame and an awning having: a) a roof element; b) at least one wall passing between the supporting surface and this roof element, when used, thereby at least partially forming an internal volume practically isolated from the environment; and c) machine-readable verification data stored in a memory attached to the awning, wherein this verification data is read by a processing device, when the awning is connected to the frame, which allows the processing device to verify the awning, when confirming at least one of: i) the awning is a suitable awning for use in combination with the frame, on which it is mounted; ii) the shelf life of the awning has not expired; iii) the storage life of the awning has not expired; iv) the specified duration of use of the awning has not been exceeded; and the awning has not been used before. A method is also proposed for using a device for isolating a patient adapted to be placed on a supporting surface and including a frame and an awning having: a) a roof element; and b) at least one wall passing between the supporting surface and this roof element, when used, thereby at least partially forming an internal volume practically isolated from the environment; wherein the method includes in one or more electronic processing devices: i) reading machine-readable verification data stored in the memory attached to the awning, when the awning is connected to the frame; ii) verification of the awning using verification data; and iii) selective activation of one or more electronic components in response to the verification of the awning.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides an increase in the reliability of isolation devices.
