FIELD: heating water in power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: boiler has furnace incorporating fire grate and waterwalls made of steel tubes, as well as fuel supply and ash disposal systems, gas flue provided with convective steel tube banks, and boiler casing. Furnace is provided with at least one heat-reflecting screen installed above fire grate and made of refractory material in the form of slabs disposed on top of steel water-cooled tube plate inclined through 0 - 60 deg. to horizontal plane. Furnace also has ignition belt mounted in its bottom and made of refractory material over perimeter of fire grate. Variable-section gas flue is designed to maintain constant the speed of stack gases, and waterwalls are assembled of modules, boiler casing being made of waterwall modules joined together.

EFFECT: enhanced performance characteristics of boiler.
