HOOK SELF-SETTING FISHING TACKLE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: amateur fishing.

SUBSTANCE: proposed fishing tackle has post, rocker installed on axle for turning, fishing line connected with rocker and lock for holding fishing tackle in cocked up position. Novelty is making of rocker in form of rigidly interconnected ends of cock, hook-setting and load levers. Rocker axle is installed in upper part of post. Fishing line s secured on free end of cock lever and is freely passed through hook on free end of hook-setting lever. Weight is installed on rocker lever to charge position of center of gravity of weight relative to vertical plane passing through rockerturning axle. Lock for holding tackle in cocked position is made in form of stop secured on post which limits turning of rocker in direction opposite to movement of fishing line in hook-setting position.

EFFECT: improved sensitivity of tackle to weak bites, increased catch.
