FIELD: sports and amateur fishing. SUBSTANCE: automatic hook setter has post with strip provided with boss on free end. Strip is hinge-connected with rocker whose one end is connected with strip by means of flexible member. Fitted on other end of rocker is hinge-connected lever with device for fastening fishing line and lock for holding flexible member in cocked up position. Port is made in strip boss. Lock for holding flexible member is cocked up position is made in form of hook installed on free end of lever. Hock is made for fitting in strip boss port. Fishing line fastening device is made in form of rigid and flexible strips clamped together and with lever by means of threaded member. Fishing line is placed between these strips. Fishing line can have sinker arranged below line fastening device. Automatic hook can have L-shaped lock for connecting post and strip by wire or rubber rings.
