FIELD: black and nonferrous metallurgy; chemical and coal industries.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is intended for dehydration of suspensions and may be used in black and a nonferrous metallurgy, as well as in chemical, coal and other industries, that use disk vacuum filters. The method provides for removal of a cake by the compressed air blowing off. In the moment of blowing off the method ensures connection of a corresponding channel of the cellular shaft of the filter with environment by short-term turning on the valve located in the opposite to the distributive head, through which the compressed air is fed, end of the channel of the cellular shaft and the liquid, that remained in the channel, is dumped on a path of the least resistance through the open valve. Realization of the invention will allow to reduce a degree of secondary moistening of the filter cake at its removal from sectors of the disk vacuum filter using a blowing off method and allows without additional power input to decrease humidity of the product(concentrate) produced as a result of its filtration and\ or to increase productivity of vacuum filter.
EFFECT: the invention allows to reduce moistening of the filter cake and to increase productivity of the vacuum filter.
