FIELD: glassmaking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of treating glass and products thereof to provide decorative effect in the form of opaque pattern. Matting paste including 2-30 g barium fluoride, 15-40 g barium sulfate, and 1-15 g water additionally contains 5-40 g potassium nitrate, 5-20 g lithium nitrate, and 5-30 g dimethylsulfoxide.
EFFECT: enabled creation of decorative effect in the form of various-density opaque pattern on any glass surfaces, including those on finished profiled glass articles.
