FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling wells at upper area of high shelf, charging of them and detonating well charges, wells are drilled for whole depth of high shelf under slant angle equal to shelf slope slant angle, and width of drilled block is determined from relation considering result of division of dump height value in area on double result of multiplication of shelf height on loosening coefficient, multiplied on difference between cotangents of natural slope angles of rock mass and shelf slant angle.
EFFECT: lesser amounts of road building operations when sending out a dump of mineral resource.
