METHOD FOR REACTIVATION OF PIT EDGE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling wells in shelf rock formations, charging of these with explosive substance, detonating well charges, cutting working areas of shelves in downward direction, forming of non-active edge and transporting rock into inner dump onto pit bottom by gravitational delivery. After inner dump reaches height of working area cut at block, cutting of working area at inner dump is performed and it is connected to working area cut at block, block and inner dump are worked on together, and ceiling rock formations are transported under slope of inner dump. Calculation of inner dump height for each shelf is performed on basis of mathematical expression. With lowering of mining operations and increase of width of areas cut at inner dump, extraction of inner dump is performed partially: one portion is transported under slope of dump, and second portion is left at pit bottom, on slope of remaining dump a system of descents is formed and a bench for transporting ceiling rock formations. Minimal width of working areas cut at inner dump according to conditions for opening mineral resource are determined for each shelf down to pit bottom on basis of mathematical expression. Volume of ceiling rock formations remaining at pit bottom and not additionally transported is determined on basis of mathematical expression.

EFFECT: lower time and resources costs due to combination of working areas cut at block and inner dump.
