METHOD OF CREATING GRASS-PLOT AND MAINTENANCE THEREOF Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: urban planning.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns creation of turf grounds and can be used in creation and use of open sports grounds, high-quality grass grounds (tennis courts, golf grounds), decorative lawns, and also soil-protecting coverings on slopes. Before sowing, soil is treated with additional porous soil-structure improvers based on naturally occurring aluminosilicates. First biological additive is introduced simultaneously with first watering or being adsorbed on porous soil-structure improvers. Second additive is introduced at the time of subsequent waterings. First additive contains non-pathogenic living microorganisms favoring development and strengthening of rootage, namely strains Bejierickia fluminensis and Thielavia terrestris used at ratio between 1:10 and 10:1. Number of cells introduced with the first additive equals at least 10⁶ per 1 m³ of grass-plot. Second additive contains yeast autolysate, in amount of 1 to 10 g per 1 dm³ of watering solution, namely autolysate of Pichia carsonii containing complex of vitamins, proteins, and peptides. First watering consumes 2.0-5.0 dm³/m² of solution and the subsequent ones 0.3-3.0 dm³/m² of solution containing second additive, its content being 1-10 g per 1 dm³ watering solution. Porous soil-structure improvers are generally selected from perlites, keramzit, and irlites in the form of granules or particles 0.2 to 2 cm in size and having bulk weight 0.3 to 0.7 kg/dm³.

EFFECT: improved quality of grass and strengthened turf due to development of stronger and more branched rootage.
