FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: one should form conjunctival "apron", scleral fragment out of surface scleral layers, carry out scleral trepanation in area of corneoscleral trabecula, conduct paracentesis and corneoscleral incision, withdraw about 0.2-0.3 ml chamber moisture and introduce about 0.3-0.4 ml "Visityl" viscoelastic into anterior chamber, perform extraction of cataract and basal iridectomy, suture in corneoscleral incision and that of conjunctiva. After suturing in corneoscleral incision one should introduce "Visityl" again into anterior chamber at the quantity of 0.3-0.6 ml till restoration of normal ophthalmotonicity. After suturing in conjunctival incision it is necessary to introduce about 0.3-0.5 ml "Visityl" viscoelstic under scleral fragment and conjunctiva by forming conjunctival filtration pad in the course of operation. The method enables to restore the production of intraocular liquid, provide prophylaxis of ciliochoroidal detachment and, also, stimulation of retinal cellular elements.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
