FIELD: analytical methods.
SUBSTANCE: method of determining nonane in air of working zone of enterprises of petroleum processing, tire, and varnish-and-paint industries comprises sampling, removing complicating impurities, and determining concentration of nonane. Measurement is accomplished by means of piezoelectric sensor modified by active sorbent, namely by electrode-modifying apiezon N in amount 9-18 mcg, registration of analytical signal being made after insertion of sample and calculation of nonane concentration being performed using the calibration curve.
EFFECT: simplified hardware implementation, increased rapidity of analysis, and reduced number of reagents.
