FARM CROP PICKUP Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering.

SUBSTANCE: farm crop pickup has frame, share mounted on frame, front and rear beaters, follower working tool and supporting members, and picking-up working tool mounted on follower working tool under front beater. Picking-up working tool is composed of three rolls rotating in opposite directions. First roll is made in the form of six-sided shaft. Second and third rolls are made in the form of rod-type rolls, with distance between rods being equal to minimal diameter d_omin of onion. Outer diameter of second roll is equal to 2/5D of diameter of front drum of feeding conveyor, and outer diameter of third roll is equal to 5/9D of diameter of front drum of feeding conveyor. Distance α between tangent point K of first roll, surface of undercut soil layer and rear edge of share is less than two maximal diameters d_omax of onion. Rear beater is made in the form of rod-type rotor, with distance between rods being equal to minimal diameter d_omin of onion. Outer diameter of rear beater is equal to 3/4D of diameter of front drum of feeding conveyor. Distances between rolls of picking-up working tool, rear beater and feeding conveyor are equal to minimal diameter d_omin of onion. Line making continuation of working surface of feeding conveyor is extending tangentially to working surface of rolls of picking-up working tool and rear beater.

EFFECT: improved separating capability of working tool, improved quality of seeding material, reduced damage to onion and reduced costs of postharvest additional processing of product and increased efficiency.
