METHOD FOR JOINING THIN-WALL TUBES BY SOLDERING Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of pipeline systems in aircraft-, ship making and other branches of industry.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming along circle at least of one tube spot protrusions arranged equidistantly at pitch t =(0.7 - 1.0) R, where t - spacing between protrusions, mm; R - outer radius of tube, mm; selecting height of said protrusions according to value of mounting gap. It is possible to arrange protrusions in staggered fashion. In order to joint tubes by means of fitting, spot protrusions formed on outer surface of tubes are spaced by distance L consisting 0.5 - 0.8 of tube and fitting overlap value from tube end.

EFFECT: possibility for high quality joining of tubes of irregular shape at using joining fittings.
