METHOD OF THE DRINKING WATER PURIFICATION AND A HOUSEHOLD PITCHER TYPE COMPLETE SET FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2240985 C1

FIELD: purification of drinking water.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with the field of purification of drinking water, in particular, with production of the drinking water with high organoleptic parameters in conditions of a domestic economy and may be used for fine purification of the tap water in household conditions. The method of purification of drinking water by a household pitcher type complete set of a provides for ozone treatment of a portion of the subjected to purification water and its purification in a layer of a sorbent, in the capacity of which they use an activated charcoal as particles and-or a mixture of these particles with the ion-exchange resin. Ozone treatment of the portion of the water is exercised during the portion of the water passing through directly a layer of sorbent. At that the integrated purification of the portion of the water by ozone and the sorbent is conducted as the water is in a static mode in the layer of the sorbent and during the whole interval of time till the following portion of the treated water is fed in the given layer of sorbent. The method is realized using a household pitcher type complete set for purification of drinking water, which contains a catalyst chamber with a sprayer of ozone located on its bottom, a funnel, a cartridge filled with sorbent and fixed to the funnel bottom. The funnel with the cartridge are placed into the catalyst chamber supplied by a drain cock. At that the volume of the cartridge, which bottom is netted, exceeds volume of the funnel at least in four times. The technical result of the invention is more rational in use of ozone, sorbent and the volume of the pitcher type water purifier, advantages of the pitcher-type method of purification and on this base to create a new more compact, reliable and convenient in operation stream a household pitcher type complete set for purification of drinking water, which at an invariable total volume will have an increased service life, productivity and degree of water purification, a lower cost price of a unit of the purified water and will be capable to keep capability of fine purification of water treating at a high initial concentration of impurities in it.

EFFECT: the invention ensures more rational use of ozone, sorbent and the volume of the pitcher type water purifier and offers advantages to have a very effective upgrade of the method.
