FIELD: magazines for small arms.

SUBSTANCE: the magazine attached longitudinally to the arms barrel has a squared box-type body for double-row "staggered" arrangement of cartridges in the cartridge section for their discharge "for feed" in a single row, which turns into a device for turning the upper cartridge before it is fed into the bends of the magazine neck or feeding mechanism, it also has a longitudinal cover, which is attached to the magazine body on the side of the bullet section of its cartridge rows being under the action of the spring-loaded feeder, which has a stepped lug for a "staggered" arrangement of cartridges and is made for locking in its lower position at filling of the magazine with cartridges. The cavity of the magazine cartridge section in its contour section has the shape providing for arrangement of both cartridge rows obliquely and symmetrically relative to the middle plane of the given cartridge section, as well as for intersection at an acute angle at the bullet section of cartridges of the planes of motion of both cartridge rows with possibility of mutual "splitting" by the upper section of the walls of the conical loading chambers of the oppositely arranged cartridges for their mutual retention perpendicularly to the aligned line of feeding of the magazine cartridge rows. The value of the angle of intersection of the planes of motion of both cartridge rows depends on the value of the projecting flange and the degree of taper of the loading chamber walls of the cartridge type used in the arms.

EFFECT: enhanced operating potentialities of the box-type magazine.
