FIELD: gas treatment and chemical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises periodic purification of gas in one adsorber and simultaneous regeneration of adsorbent in the other adsorber using for that regenerating gas, in particular gas purified at pressure below working adsorption pressure. Purification is carried out on multiple-bed adsorbents with different selectivity characteristics by way of creating zigzag travel of purified and purifying gases through perforated sections with adsorbents. Regeneration is carried out at pressure equal to 1/60-1/65 part of working adsorption pressure using purified gas at pressure below working adsorption pressure in amount equal to 0.015-0.02 weight of gas used for purification, whereas pressure of regenerating gas is created by vacuum compressor. Working liquid is injected into working compression space, heat released during compression is used to heat purified gas before regeneration, and, at the outlet of regenerated adsorber, regenerating gas is purified by liquid injected into working compression space of vacuum compressor and returned into gas stream fed into purification zone. Apparatus is additionally provided with receiver, screw vacuum compressor, vessel for separating purification products from injected liquid, and wet scrubber with container and pump.

EFFECT: improved technical and economical characteristics of unit wherein gas is freed of moisture, carbon dioxide, heavy hydrocarbons, and other components.
