FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to folding bicycles and their steering gears. Proposed folding bicycle has triangular frame consists of three parts 8, 9, 10. Front part 9 is connected with rear part 8 and with lower part 10by means of universal joints 13, 14, for instance, spherical joints. Joint 14 is detachable. Front part 9 is rigidly connected with turnable fork 3. Handlebar 5 consists of two separate halves, each being hinge secured on axles 6 on rear part 8 of frame to turn front part 9 of frame together with turnable fork 3 through guide 16, hinge-secured relative to half of handlebar and lug on front part of frame. Centers of joints of guides 16 are located higher than center of joint 13 connecting front part 9 and rear part 8 of frame.
EFFECT: reduced dimensions of bicycle in folded down state.
