FIELD: packaging equipment, particularly for packing cigarettes.
SUBSTANCE: package formed as rectangular parallelepiped with determined longitudinal axis has hinged lid, front panel, rear panel, the first end panel and the second end panel, also the first and the second side panels located parallel one to another. Package is made of blank having main part forming package base and lid. Blank also comprises longitudinal extension creating package case. Main blank part has the first and the second transversal fold lines and the first longitudinal fold lines, two side walls, end wall and longitudinal end flap. Central wall is connected to the first foldable areas by two opposite longitudinal ends thereof. End wall is connected to the second end foldable area and to the third end foldable area. Each side wall is attached to corresponding transversal end flap by longitudinal end thereof. Extension is U-shaped and has two side projections and transversal wall connected with both projections by two corresponding fold lines. Extension is hinged by two projections to longitudinal side wall edges surrounding the first end foldable area of central wall. Main blank part has transversal perforation line and two side walls. Lid is separated from package base by above transversal perforation line. Fold line and perforation line coincide with hinge line connecting lid with base. The first end foldable area is overlapped with the second one and connected to end flaps to form the first upper end lid panel. Another one is overlapped with corresponding the third end folding area to form the second lower end panel of package base. Longitudinal end flap overlaps end part of inner end wall panel. Extension is double folded around the second transversal fold line, overlapped with main part and connected to inner panels of central wall and side walls extending inside package. Each the first end folding area has the first profile connecting larger side edge with smaller one of the first end folding area adjoining larger side edge. The third end folding area has the third profile connecting the larger side edge with smaller one of the third end folding area adjacent to larger side edge. The first and the third connecting profiles coincide with longitudinal connection members of lid and base when package is in its folded position.
EFFECT: reduced material consumption.
