FIELD: packing cartons for cans, jars or bottles. SUBSTANCE: carton is made of blank 10 provided with upper wall 12, pair of side walls 14, 22 and lower wall 18 connected to form tubular member. End face cover has end face valves 30, 34 connected with end face edges of upper panel. Holes 26 for handle are made in upper panel, practically in its center. Handle reinforcement has pair of end face sections 42, 46, each being connected with side edge of corresponding end face valve, reaching its upper edge 32, 36 and central section 50 connected with both end face sections and arranged between these sections. Central section is lap-fitted on upper panel 12 being arranged on panel close to handle holes. EFFECT: provision of reinforced handle with preservation of compactness of carton and efficient use of cardboard panel area. 15 cl, 7 dwg
