FIELD: iron metallurgy, in particular method for agglomeration of iron-ore feed.
SUBSTANCE: invention is useful for preparation of batch materials for blast-furnace smelting. Briquette is produced by batch vibration compaction. Batch comprises carbon-containing materials, natural iron-containing materials, fluxing additives and inorganic binder. Ratios of carbon, iron oxide, manganese oxide, calcium oxide, silica and alumina are: C:Fe = 0.35-0.6, , CaO:SiO2 = 0.3-1.6, MgO:Al2O3 = 0.25-1.25. Briquette has ratio of maximum and minimum size ≤1.2, and mass of 1.5-8.0 kg.
EFFECT: briquette with improved purity and metallurgic characteristics.
