FIELD: mechanical engineering; automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device designed to prevent sliding of automobile moving on rugged terrain under heavy weather conditions has support bracket, front and rear rods with blocks provided with spikes secured on ends of rods. Blocks with spikes are made floating, in form of wedges. Spikes on block of rear rod are rigidly secured on block foot. Spikes on front rod block are made movable. Front and rear rods are held in nonworking position by means of catches-locks mechanically connected with double-acting emergency lever on which additional control handle is secured. Said handle is mechanically connected with hopper filled with sand and front rod block to control spikes on block.
EFFECT: improved safety under heavy road conditions, prevention of uncontrolled running down of automobile.
