FIELD: organic synthesis technology, in particular chlorinated hydrocarbons.
SUBSTANCE: claimed compounds are obtained by chlorination of C1-C22-alpha-olefines which present waste product from oligomerization process of ethylene at 35-700C in presence of radical polymerization initiator in amount of 0.1-0.3 % as reduced to α-olefin weight. Initiator is added in chlorination reaction in form of 0.5-2.0 % solution in organochlorine solvent. Dicetyl peroxidicarbonate or azo-bis(isobutyronitrile) is used as initiator and chlorinated C1-C12-hydrocarbons or chlorinated C14-C12-hydrocarbons containing 5-15 mass % of chlorine are used as solvents. Chlorinated hydrocarbons are useful in polyvinildichloride composition as secondary plasticizer for production of synthetic building materials, lacquers and dyes, leatherette, rubber industry etc., as well as fire retardant additions for various polymers.
EFFECT: utilization of waste product from oligomerization process of ethylene.
