FIELD: production of water-soluble acetone-formaldehyde resin.
SUBSTANCE: claimed resin is obtained by condensation of acetone with formaldehyde at molar ratio of 1-2 at 40-450C and pH of 11.0-11.5 to 7.0-7.5 in presence of 5 % aqua sodium hydroxide as a catalyst; evacuation; drying at 55-600C; and cooling of resin. Alkali catalyst is beforehand dissolved in solvent.
EFFECT: product with increased yield and improved quality.
