FIELD: electrode production.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with field of electrode production and may be used in production of anodes of aluminum electrolyzers for electrowinning aluminum. The offered method provides mixing of a coking charge with a pitch and forming a mass. At that for mixing they feed either the powder-like pitch with size of less than 2 mm and a coking charge heated up to temperature by 50-90°С higher than the double temperature of softening of a pitch, or the melted pitch with the temperature twice exceeding the temperature of softening of a pitch and a coking charge with temperature by 15-25°С higher than the temperatures of the melted pitch. Forming of the mass in both events is realized at the temperature of anodic mass equal to 100-150°С. The technical effect is an increase of quality of the briquettes and anodic mass, that is: increased strength of the briquettes, decreased porosity, increased mechanical strength, decreased collapsibility of CO2 in the current. The method allows to process all kinds of pitches both in solid and in a liquid state.
EFFECT: the invention allows increase of quality of the briquettes and anodic mass, to process all kinds of pitches both in solid and in a liquid state.
