FIELD: technology of molded solid fuel for communal and industrial uses. SUBSTANCE: described is fuel briquet based on mixture of crushed solid fuel composed from vegetable waste, and/or coke fines and binder from group consisting of lignosulfonate, molasses, tail pitch or mixtures thereof. Binder further comprises synthetic wax which is side product resulting from production of polyethylene or polypropylene, or paraffin, or paraffin gatch, and/or cement, or clay, and/or deposit resulting from purification of sewage, ratios of components being as follows, wt %: binder composed of lignosulfonate, molasses, tall pitch or mixtures thereof, 1-8; and also binder composed of synthetic wax of paraffin, or paraffin gatch, 1-7; and/or cement, or clay, 1-20; and/or deposit resulting from purification of sewage, 2-25, total content of at least three binders, 5-50; and crushed solid fuel, up to 100. Also described is method of preparing briquet. EFFECT: optimum reactivity and strength of fuel briquets and reduced costs of use thereof. 6 cl, 5 ex
