FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: reduction gear has housing which receives engaging pairs of conical gear wheels mounted on the three shafts for permitting their rotation in block. The driving conical gear wheels of the first and the second stages are made for axial movement toward the mating driven conical gear wheels. The driven conical gear wheels are spring loaded to the driven wheels, and the working side of their teeth is inclined to the axis of rotation by an angle no more than that of friction. The gear ratios of the first and second stages are the same. The driving shaft of the first stage and the driven shaft of the second stage are parallel to each other. The intermediate shaft is interposed between the driving and driven shafts with an inclination. The value of the inclination depends on the gear ratio of the reduction gear and provides the normal engaging of mating conical gear wheels.
EFFECT: decreased noise and prolonged service life.
