FIELD: light-sensitive materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns additional treatment of silver halide photographic materials for recording hard ionizing radiations, which can be employed in chemico-photographic industry and medicinal radiography. In order to increase photographic sensitivity of enhanced silver image, silver image on radiographic materials is enhanced by means bleaching it in aqueous solution containing in 1 L: 40-60 g potassium hexacyanoferrate, 5-20 g sodium or potassium bromide, 20-100 g anhydrous sodium trioxocarbonate, and 20-30 g potassium hydroxide followed by treatment in aqueous reduction solution containing in 1 L: 40-50 g tin(II) chloride, 30-40 g sodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate, 50-60 g potassium hydroxide, and 80-100 g potassium thiocyanate.
EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity with retention of essentially unchanged: contrast coefficient and fogging level as well as uniformity of image regarding optical densities.
