FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to brake equipment of motor cars, namely, electric trains and it is designed to provide safety of traffic owing to use of perfected control system and control of brake equipment. Five-line electropneumatic brake of motor-car train contains drum-type brake selecdtor, switch, brake valve with controller of electropneumatic brake, coils of electropneumatic braking and overlapping relays in electric air distributor, signal lamps and brake cylinder pneumo electric relay. Pneumoelectric relays with change-over contacts to braking and release signal lamps are installed in signal circuit on car brake cylinders. Pneumoelectric rerlay installed in supply circuit of electropneumatic brake closes main line signal lamp circuit when pressure ion main line drops below 4.0 kgf/sq.cm. Pneumoelectric relays of brake cylinders of train head cars are installed in braking circuit of electropneumatic brake in each cab. Contacts of said relays break braking circuit when said maximum pressure in brake cylinders is reached. Mode selector switch is installed in supply circuit of electropneumatic brake. Contacts of said switch in working cab connect supply of braking release lamp circuits, and connect supply of main line signal lamp in non-operating cab. Invention provides safety owing to use of electropneumatic brake which provides control of condition of train brakes and operation of emergency brake-away valve in train with changing over to electropneumatic braking which prevents wedging of wheelsets at combined application of electropneumatic and automatic brakes, and if all necessary operations are carried out when changing control cab, provides operation of electropneumatic brake from non-operating cab (Interlock of electropneumatic brake).
