FIELD: coal-chemical industry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: anthracene oil or product obtained after treatment of crude anthracene without addition of solvent is converted to melt and melt is cooled below crystallization point of carbazole and anthracene. Prepared crystalline product is separated from liquid phase and rectified up to preparing pure anthracene and carbazole at enhanced yield.
EFFECT: improved preparing method.
